Centenary of Irish Independence Calendar 2022

The years between 1916 and 1923 are amongst the most significant in the history of Ireland, since they ended over 750 years of British domination and saw the island emerge as a separate, if divided, nation. This calendar celebrates the centenary of the founding of the Irish Free State on 6 December 1922, and describes in words and pictures the dramatic events of the struggle for independence.
